The Grand Hotel Excelsior is located in the historic and commercial center of Reggio Calabria, in the splendid natural scenery of the Strait of Messina. The property is located a few steps from the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria, which houses the famous Riace Bronzes, a short distance from the sea and the splendid Lungomare Italo Falcomatà called "The most beautiful kilometer in Italy". Thanks to its central location, the major tourist attractions are all within easy walking distance: the Duomo, the Pinacoteca, the Cilea Theater, the Church of San Giorgio, Villa Zerbi, the Aragonese Castle and the Church of the Ottimati.
Guests will also find themselves a step away from Corso Garibaldi, the main route for shopping or simply for a pleasant walk.
The Hotel offers a panoramic Roof Garden from which, on clear days, it is possible to have an exclusive view of the Strait and even of the top of the Etna volcano. The Grand Hotel Excelsior has 84 rooms, all elegant and comfortable, most with balconies and sea views. Among these, 4 are Junior Suites and 4 Executive Suites and all are characterized by a large living area. The rooms are partially refurbished and offer a modern style furniture.
